With the audience that stuck around after the first and second Sonic Adventure 2 dubs, the three-part episode " Marvel's Spider-Man" boosting views statistics from around 50,000 views per month average during all of 2018 to around 700,000 views per month by February 2019. The show was an elevator for the channel's success, carrying over the following from the original Real-Time Fandub series had, and establishing SnapCube as a household name. Real-Time Fandub Games, as it was called then, was first teased via Penny's personal channel in April 2018, and was met with overwhelmingly positive reception. In late 2016, SnapCube moved onto a regular schedule, with new videos uploaded on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Episodes alternated between solo gameplay and gameplay with Penny's friends. The SnapCube logo used between 2019 and mid-2020.The first video on the channel was published on October 28, 2016, the first part to a nine-part gameplay of Skyrim: Special Edition. Riding off of the recognition acquired through the Knitting Giant Beanies channel, at the time the home to voice acting videos (especially related to animated series like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe), SnapCube (originally founded under a different name until 2017) was created on Jto accommodate the growing need to separate the gaming niche on the channel and become a dedicated home for her video game content. Prior to the launch of SnapCube, creator Penny Parker took several trajectories in regards to her videos (including live-action sketch comedy, comics, animation, etc.), launching at least six YouTube channels before it - one of them being Knitting Giant Beanies (now just " Penny Parker", serving as her tertiary personal channel).
